Benchmark
A Willo Intelligence Feature - Currently in Beta for selected users
The Benchmark feature helps you save time by automatically filtering out candidates who don’t meet your minimum requirements in an assessment. Instead of reviewing every application manually, you can set a clear benchmark and let Willo handle these for you.
How it works
- The Benchmark setting is available on each assessment you create.
- You can choose the minimum % of correct answers a candidate must achieve in order to pass - known as the Pass Percentage.
- Any candidate who scores below this threshold will be automatically rejected, and they will receive your chosen rejection email.
Setting up Benchmark
- When creating or editing an assessment, look for the Benchmark slider on the final step.
- Adjust the slider to set your desired Pass Percentage (e.g. 70%).
- Candidates must meet or exceed this percentage to move forward.
Important details
- Only Multiple Choice and Checkbox questions are included in the Benchmark algorithm.
- To make Benchmark work, you must set correct answers for each question you want to be scored.
- Open-ended or video response questions are not included in Benchmark calculations.
Example
If you set the Pass Percentage slider at 80%:
- A candidate who answers 8 out of 10 multiple-choice questions correctly will move forward.
- A candidate who answers 7 out of 10 correctly will be automatically rejected.
Benefits of using Benchmark
- Saves time by reducing manual screening.
- Ensures consistency in candidate evaluation.
- Helps focus your attention on qualified candidates.
Next steps
- Make sure your multiple-choice and checkbox questions have correct answers assigned.
- Set the Pass percentage that aligns with your hiring criteria.
- Relax and let Willo handle the initial filtering automatically.
- Draft a custom Reject template or use one of the pre-defined templates.
