Asking questions on video

We are committed to making our video interview platform accessible for all candidates. We strive to meet the standards set out by WCAG 2.1, and regularly review and update our platform to ensure we're meeting the needs of every candidate. By using Willo to interview candidates you'll achieve more diverse, equitable and fair hiring outcomes every time.

As a result, we don't offer video questions, instead, the questions are always text-based. This is to improve accessibility as candidates don't always have the option to watch or listen to videos for various reasons. Plus screen readers can be used during the interview for maximum accessibility which is a WCAG requirement.

We've spent a lot of time researching what delivers the best experience for candidates and found that a video intro upfront is useful to give an overview of the business, but text questions are more reliable and enjoyable to answer.
