How to enable access to your camera and microphone

If you're having trouble enabling your camera or microphone for your Willo interview, don’t worry—this is a common issue and can be quickly fixed! Follow the steps below to ensure your browser and device are set up correctly.

Suspicious Requests: You should never provide confidential information such as bank details, social security numbers or passwords etc. in any interview. You should also never run any scripts or applications to complete your interview. If you discover an interview requesting this - report it.

Beware of fraudulent websites: Scammers may create fake websites using similar-looking domain names or deliberate misspellings, such as "willo-talents[.]com" or "virtual-interviewing[.]com. These are not affiliated with us.

Always double-check the website URL before entering any information. If you suspect a fraudulent site report it here.

The Willo platform is officially hosted at:

    • Including: app.eu1.willotalent.com, us1.willotalent.com and app.us1.willotalent.com
  • willo.video
    • Including: support.willo.video

If you come across any other domain, it is not affiliated with us.

Quick Fixes: Try These First

Before diving into specific browser settings, try these quick solutions:

  • Close other apps and tabs – If Zoom, Teams, or another interview is using your camera/mic, close it and try again.
  • Restart your browser – Close and reopen your browser, then return to your Willo interview link.
  • External mic or camera? - Unplug and plug it in again.
  • Use Google Chrome – Willo works best on Chrome. If you’re using Safari or Edge, consider switching.
  • Check for a blocked icon – If your browser blocked camera/mic access, a small icon will appear in the address bar—click it to allow access.
  • Restart your device – A simple reboot can fix the most common permission issues.

If these steps don’t resolve your issue, switch to another device if you have one.

  • Try a different browser Chrome is recommended
  • Restart your device and try again.
  • Check browser extensions It is not uncommon for third party extension to cause problems with some websites. Try using your browser through an Incognito tab or Private browsing window. If all works normally then you know that an extension was causing the issue.
