How to add Loom videos to interview questions
This article explains how to add a Loom video to a specific question in your Willo assessment. It is for employers and hiring managers who want to give candidates extra context using video.
What this feature does
You can now add a Loom video to any question in your assessment. When you add a Loom link to a question, candidates see the video embedded directly below that question when they reach it.
This is useful when you want to:
- Introduce yourself or your team
- Explain what you are looking for in an answer
- Give candidates helpful context before they respond
- Make your assessment feel more personal and welcoming
Before you begin
To use this feature, you need:
- A Loom account with a recorded video
- The share link for that video
- Access to Willo
How to add a Loom video to a question
- Open the assessment creator in Willo.
- Select the question you want to add a video to.
- Copy the share link for your Loom video.
- Paste the Loom link into the question.
- Save your changes.
The video is now linked to that question.

What candidates see
When a candidate reaches the question, the Loom video appears embedded on screen. Candidates can play the video directly within the question and do not need to leave Willo or open a separate tab.
Best practices
- Keep videos short and focused so candidates stay engaged.
- Use video to add clarity, not to replace the written question.
- Add videos only to the questions where extra context is helpful.
- Test the candidate view to confirm the video plays as expected.
Common questions
Do candidates need a Loom account to watch the video? No. Candidates can watch the embedded video without a Loom account.
Can I add a video to more than one question? Yes. You can add a Loom video to any question in your assessment.
Can I remove or change the video later? Yes. Open the question in the assessment creator, then update or remove the Loom link.
